Which kind of editor can I use with AutoSave? Top
Almost all. If the editor's content can be saved with a hotkey or a combination of menu operation, it can be automatically saved by AutoSave.
We've test MS Word, PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, Win98 and Win2000 notepad and some other program. AutoSave works well with them.
My editor doesn't support Ctrl+S hotkey for saving, so can I use AutoSave with such editor? Top
Yes, you can. For example, Win98 notepad doesn't support Ctrl+S, you can use AutoSave on it too because notepad's content can be saved by Alt+F (open the File menu) then 'S' (same as click on 'Save' menu item). So you can set a key serial 'Alt+F' then 'S' for such software.
Can AutoSave work with Windows console application (no GUI)? Top
Yes, it works well! If you use some console editor, for example, FAR file manager, AutoSave can automatically save the content very well.
Why doesn't AutoSave auto save my edits? Top
If the edits is in a popup dialog, and the 'Active window is popup dialog' option is enabled (checked) in the Advanced options, AutoSave won't save such edits. To save such edits, you should uncheck that option.
Why does AutoSave prompt that the software has been damaged? Top
Usually because you didn't install AutoSave properly. If you get such message, you should uninstall the software, and then reinstall it. However, you'll have to re-enter the register code after you uninstall and reinstall AutoSave.
Why can't AutoSave auto backup my Photoshop 7 documents? Top
To enable AutoSave auto backup for Photoshop 7, you must install the Adobe script support package.

AutoSave stops response, why? Top
Normally AutoSave can work very well. But if you installed a defective Photoshop (that's to say, Photoshop will prompt error when startup) or MS Office and enabled auto backup for them in AutoSave, the wrong Photoshop, MS Word or Excel may cause AutoSave freeze. To avoid the freeze, you can disable the auto backup option or reinstall Photoshop or Office.
How to restore a backup file? Top
A backup file saved by AutoSave is exactly the same file saved by the application you are using, such as Photoshop, Microsoft Office, but with a different file name.
To restore a backup file, you only need to rename the backup file from OriginalFileName.bak to OriginalFileName.
For example, if the original file name is myfile.doc, the backup file name is myfile.doc.bak, then you simple need to rename the file name from myfile.doc.bak back to myfile.doc.
How can I know whether the register code I input is correct or not? Top
After input register code, the software will prompt you to restart the program to verify the code. If there is no any nag window when the software startup, your register code is correct.
You can also click menu 'Help' -> 'About' to see whether you're a registered user or not.
Typing the register code by hand can make incidental mistake. You'd better select the register code block in the email, then press key Ctrl+C to copy it. In the register window, press key Ctrl+V to paste it into the edit box.
Why doesn't my register code work? Top
The possible reason may be,
1, You didn't input the register code correctly. You should input the register user name, the email and the register code.
Email address is also one part of your register information, and you should input it as well as the user name.
After input the register code, you should restart the program to verify the register process.
That's to say, after input the register code, you should exit the program, and then run it again. If you continue using the program after input the key, the version is still unregistered until you restart it.
We'll put detail register instructions in the license key email, so you'd better read it carefully if you meet any trouble when registering.
2, The email content in which you receive the register code has corrupted. If so, send us a mail and we'll re-send you the register code.
3, You get the register code from some pirate web site. If so, please remove our products from your disk or order a legal copy as soon as possible.

Tell us by email or in the forum, we'll resend the register code to you again. The resend is free.
The information you should send to us is,
1, Your register user name.
2, The email address that you used to register. If you want us to send you the key to a different email box, you'd contact us first and we reserve the right to require you provide us more information to authorize your identity.
