There is no difference at all. We providing the ZIP download is only for our customers' convenience. Some customers' internet gateway prohibits accessing executable files directly. So we compress the exe to zip for these customers.
Is it safe to order your products through the internet? Top
Yes, it's the most secure.
We don't process your order directly. We have very famous and reputable companies like ShareIt as our registration service provider. All your orders are processed through their SSL connection and it's almost impossible for any hackers to steal your information.
Should I pay for your products' upgrade? Top
No! The upgrade for ATopSoft AutoSave is lifetime FREE, you shouldn't pay anything for upgrade. The upgrade for ATopSoft FileCake is free for at least one year.
Do you provide support to unregistered users? Top
Yes, we do. We're very glad to support any potential customers that trying our products.
However, if you're using our cracked products, please be virtuous, don't request any support and waste our time.

How can I know whether the register code I input is correct or not? Top
After input register code, the software will prompt you to restart the program to verify the code. If there is no any nag window when the software startup, your register code is correct.
You can also click menu 'Help' -> 'About' to see whether you're a registered user or not.
Typing the register code by hand can make incidental mistake. You'd better select the register code block in the email, then press key Ctrl+C to copy it. In the register window, press key Ctrl+V to paste it into the edit box.
Why doesn't my register code work? Top
The possible reason may be,
1, You doesn't input the register code correctly. You should input the register user name, the email and the register code.
Email address is also one part of your register information, you should input it as well as the user name.
After input the register code, you should restart the program to verify the register process.
That's to say, after input the register code, you should exit the program, then run it again. If you continue using the program after input the key, the version is still unregistered untill you restart it.
We'll put detail register instructions in the license key email, you'd better read it carefully if you meet any trouble when register.
2, The email content in which you receive the register code has corrupt. If so, send us a mail and we'll re-send you the register code.
3, You get the register code from some pirate web site. If so, please remove our products from your disk or order a legal copy as soon as possible.

Simply run the exe file downloaded from the web.
If you download the zip file, use an archive software (eg, WinZip, WinRar) to open it, then run the exe file in the archive.
Then follow the instructions given on screen.

Click the 'Start' button on your Windows task bar, then click 'Program' menu, click the software you want to uninstall, then click the 'Uninstall' menu.

I use FileCake to view a PDF document, but why there is an AcroRd32.exe process still alive after FileCake exits? Top
Because we use Acrobat Reader ActiveX control to show the PDF document. During our test with Acrobat Reader 6.0, that ActiveX control didn't fully exit after the control user exits. This occurred on both FileCake and IE.
Such a process won't eat too much resource, and it can make the viewing of PDF faster.
I plan to use FileCake to search duplicate files in several big hard disks and expect millions of files will be found, any suggestion on large number of files? Top
You need big RAM. We recommend 512M RAM for one million files.
If you have small RAM, e.g. only 128M, you should separate the search with different filters.
For example, you can firstly set name filter to include only "*.exe;*.dll;*.ocx" to find duplicate among programs, then set filter to include only "*.mp3" to find duplicate among mp3s, finally set filter to include all files but exclude all files that have been searched.
Such workaround may cause some duplicate files can't be detected, but it can still find many duplicate files for you.

This is a technical issue. When FileCake starts to search files in given directories, it doesn't calculate the whole target files count, so it can't set the prograss bar maximum value correctly. We set the maximum value with an fixed assumed file count, 100,000. So the progress bar will be always 99% after 100,000 files had been found.
In theory, it's possible to calculate all target files count before searching, but it will cost much time. Spending so much time to get a correct progress bar is unworthy.

It is not a bug. It's busy when being active because it's checking whether the files in the file list exist. If any files don't exist, it will remove them from the list. This may help to synchronize the files state. And usually this is really fast process and only seems busy when thousands of files don't exist.

Almost all. If the editor's content can be saved with a hotkey
or a combination of menu operation, it can be automatically saved by AutoSave.
We've test MS Word, PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, Win98 and Win2000
notepad and some other program. AutoSave works well with them.

you can use AutoSave on it too because notepad's content can

the content very well by set the save key as F2.
